About Alpaca

Alpaca is a fast-growing team of ML researchers and engineers focused on building next-generation creative tools for artists and art teams. We want to build out the medium for a seamless and expressive interaction space between users and models while fundamentally rethinking the way in which creative work can be done. About the role

We are looking for someone with interest/experience in art production for gaming/animation purposes to lead our in-house creative expertise at Alpaca, where we are building AI-powered creative tools directly into Adobe Photoshop.

The ideal candidate is someone who is excited about technology, who will thrive when given free creative reign, and who simply loves producing compelling visuals. You can think about the work at Alpaca as being comprised of a series of mini world-building exercises, with the intent of being able to showcase both process and final output. There is a lot of flexibility to take this role in a number of different directions, so if any of this is interesting to you, let’s talk!

Job is well-compensated and available to start anywhere from mid-Dec to early Jan.

In this role you will

• Prototype and develop art workflows in Alpaca
• Lead creative direction for product demos that push the visual envelop
• Create compelling demo and test material for Alpaca, which will rely on your ability to produce hand-drawn sketches or colour block thumbnails of hypothetical game assets, environments, characters, etc.
• Work with other artists in industry (mostly gaming and animation) to develop new workflow content, give talks
• Contribute to community building on Discord and other platforms
