About Alpaca

Alpaca is a fast-growing team of ML researchers and engineers focused on building next-generation creative tools powered by generative models. We want to build out the medium for a seamless and expressive interaction space between users and models while fundamentally rethinking the way in which creative work can be done. About the role

We’re looking for a front-end software engineer to develop brand new experiences for our users.

You will be working with the rest of the team (that includes full stack engineers that will be working on the front-end with you) to bring the latest advances in machine learning to our user base of Artists. You will have the opportunity to help drive the decisions on which features would bring most values to our users as well as helping shape what the user experience experience should look like to bring those novel tools to life.

What you’ll do:

• Ship front-end features into our plugin and web app (both Typescript + React)
• Contribute to the rest of the stack if you have such an interest, but the core contributions will be to the front-end parts.
• Contribute to ensuring the code base is maintainable and that we can be productive working in it through refactoring and bringing best practices to the team

What you’ll need:

• 5+ years of experience working in front-end development.
• Track record of seeing impactful research projects through to completion
• A passion for building experiences that have great design and UX. — Our team also includes a UI/UX designer that will work with you, but we will count on you to help make what we ship truly delightful to use.
• An interesting in developing a deep understanding of our users and what bringing value to them means.
